Back in January, I did a whole post on goals and how I plan my goals. As we round the corner to the end of the third quarter I’d like to take this opportunity to give you all an update on where I’m at in the process of completing my 2019 goals, as well as to encourage you to not give up on yours. It’s not too late to take action!
My word for this year is “growth”. In 9 short months I have been stretched beyond my comfort zone, have made so many mistakes, and learned so many lessons.
In my personal life, I made the goal to establish regular weekly date nights with my husband, which we’ve been able to establish and keep. Another personal goal was to kick my sugar addiction. While I have not fully accomplished this yet, I’m taking this opportunity to recommit to this goal for myself knowing it’s never too late to give your goals a reboot.
With my blog, a big goal of mine was to make my idea of an online course a reality and also to speak publically 3 times. I’m proud to say that the first of these goals has already come to pass and it’s looking like the second one will as well. Both of these goals were accompanied by a great deal of discomfort, which is totally normal when trying something new.
On the flip side, there are a couple of 2019 goals that will likely not happen this year. The first is a commitment to meditate 1-2 times daily and the other is to learn how to invest money in the stock market. If I’m honest with myself, these are simply no longer a priority for me.
